Makers
The second platform for young Arab theatre
makers "The Start of the game" took place in
Beirut during the period from 21 to 26 of June
2006. The platform was organized by Culture
Resource in collaboration with Al-Hamraa Theatre
in Tunisia and SHAMS Association (Youth, Theatre
and Cinema) in Lebanon.
Five months after its sudden closure by the
Cairo Governorate, El Genaina Theatre re-opens
on Friday 4 August with a celebratory concert by
4 of the most popular groups in Egypt

Culture Resource organised a benefit concert for Lebanon, in collaboration with the Lebanese embassy in Cairo, ELBA, the Cairo Opera House and Incognito for Music Production, on Tuesday 29 August at the Main Hall, Cairo Opera House.

For the second year, Culture Resource put
together at El Genaina Theatre in Al-Azhar Park
a program comprising of a varied range of acts
stretching from folklore singing, Oriental and
Andalusia music to Jazz, modern fusion and Rap.

A Cultural Feast in Paris for Lebanon – October 2006
With an initiative from Culture Resource and in
cooperation with a group of Lebanese artists, a
grand cultural event was held at Paris's Theatre
National de Chaillot on the twenty second of
October.
Four new albums launched at El Genaina – October 2006
In October 2006, Ramadan's program “Hayy”
included four album-launching concerts for
four musical groups entitled New Orient
Sounds. The four albums were produced by the Lebanese production company Incognito.
Remix is organized by Al Mawred Al Thaqafy and
is led artistically by the Egyptian composer
Fathy Salama and the Lebanese musician and
academic Andre Haj. This year Remix included 20
young musicians from Morocco, Tunis, Egypt,
Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Sudan.
